Materials List - Drawing
Here you will find the materials that will be utilized throughout the drawing course. Links to suggested retailers are included where applicable.
- Faber-Castell PITT charcoal pencil •• Soft (you’ll go through these pretty quick, I recommend at least 3) 
- Blending stump (both large and small) 
- Newsprint pad (18” x 24”) 
- Drawing board (23” x 26”) 
- Easel 
- Mahl stick – OR make a DIY mahl stick 
- Floor lamp with adjustable angle and height 
- Table or shelf to assemble still-lifes (which will be undisturbed for duration of the lessons) 
- Dark blue or green cloth (approx. 4’ x 4’ but exact dimensions are not crucial) 
- Two thumbtacks 
- White cylinder (I recommend you peel the label off of a can of Comet) 
- 3” sphere (painted white) 
- Three 3” cubes (one painted black, one gray, one white) 
- White ceramic creamer, pitcher, or mug (the exact shape is not crucial, just keep it simple and blank)
